Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives (The ArQuives)
34 Isabella St., Toronto, ON
Forty two years after the founding of The Body Politic, the radical
Toronto-based gay liberation newspaper, we again ask WHY? Why
are artists, playwrights, and scholars working creatively on The Body
Politic?
Join us for a roundtable discussion with documentary filmmaker
Justine Pimlott, playwright Nick Green, and scholars Cate Sandilands
and Michael Connors Jackman as they debate why they care.
Organized in conjunction with our current exhibition, Gay Premises: Radical Voices in the Archives, 1973-1983, on display at The ArQuives from June 14-Sept 9, 2013.
