Help Keep Our Stories Alive!

Donate now to support one of the largest independent 2SLGBTQIA+ archives in the world.

Make a One-Time Donation

Your gift to The ArQuives will help us to continue our vital work to:

  • Acquire, process and manage all materials that come into the Archives
  • Provide space for researchers on 2SLGBTQIA+ heritage
  • Reach out to the public with walks, lectures, visits and tours

Become a Monthly Sustainer

Giving monthly is the easiest and most cost-effective way to support The ArQuives:

  • As a monthly supporter, your contribution is convenient, automatic and effective
  • Monthly contributions provide stable funding for the acquisition and preservation of 2SLGBTQIA+ information.
  • Our administrative costs are greatly reduced, which means more funds go directly to our work

You can become a monthly donor by filling out the secure form on this page, or contact our Development Officer at Development@ArQuives.ca.

Donations in Lieu of Gifts

Are you planning a special occasion gathering for yourself, a family member or a friend? Don’t want folks to bring gifts? Please consider suggesting that guests donate to The ArQuives instead. We will send a representative to your event to collect donations. Please contact Raegan Swanson, Executive Director, at executivedirector@arquives.ca or 416-777-2755 for more information.

Gifts of Stocks and Securities

Why give a gift of securities?

Making a gift of publicly-listed securities such as stocks, bonds or mutual funds to The ArQuives helps us keep our stories alive. There are significant tax advantages in donating your shares in stocks or options directly to a charity like The ArQuives, rather than selling the shares and donating the proceeds.

A charitable donation of publicly-traded securities such as stocks, mutual funds, bonds or futures results in a tax receipt for 100% of the value of the gift on the day of the transfer. By providing a larger potential deduction than an equivalent gift of cash, this option allows you to maximize your charitable giving.

For more information about the donation of securities, please contact Raegan Swanson, Executive Director at executivedirector@arquives.ca

A gift of appreciated securities is a highly tax-effective gift option, whether given today or in the future through a bequest in your will.
