For much of the past 70 years, Yonge Street has led a secret life: it was home to the bars, clubs and baths that constituted what mainstream society thought of as “the twilight world of the homosexual.” Join archivists and historians from The ArQuives (The ArQuives) on a walk through Toronto’s queer past and follow the footsteps of activists who struggled to find a public space they could call their own.
Walking tour dates: June 21, June 25, July 19. In partnership with Heritage Toronto for Pride 2015
