The Queer Songbook Orchestra, in partnership with The ArQuives, is a 12-piece chamber pop ensemble, creating and performing a living archive of songs that have shaped the LGBTQ community. Focusing for this performance on songs with a connection to the closet – those held close during closeted times alongside those written by closeted writers – the orchestra play all new arrangements by some of Canada’s top talents. The QSO brings together a selection of the finest queer and allied musicians from Toronto and Montreal:
