The Queer Songbook Orchestra are lifting the rug on the last century of popular music, taking a look back at this history with the queer lens intact and revealing little known backstories and personal narratives, while reimagining these songs for a chamber pop orchestra.
Join this collective of top queer and allied musicians for a unique evening of music and storytelling that examines resilience in song, through both the courage of the songwriter and the elevation of the listener, in the beautiful setting of the Church of the Holy Trinity.
Joined by visual artist Sean Frey and incorporating live narration, this performance takes an honest look at the contributions made by LGBTQ songwriters and performers to the popular canon and celebrates the unifying and empowering elements of music within community.
