Introduction to Web Archiving at The ArQuives

In celebration of World Digital Preservation Day 2026, join us to discuss how The ArQuives preserves web and social media content. As 2SLGBTQIA+ history, activism, and community spaces move increasingly online, preserving born-digital materials has become critical. This webinar will cover The ArQuives’ web archiving strategies and procedures, including approaches to preserving high-risk digital content. It will also explain why digital preservation and web archiving are extremely high priority tasks for community archives at the moment, and will give practical guidance on how organizations can take the first step. Designed for volunteers of The ArQuives, as well as anyone interested in getting started in web archiving and digital preservation.
