The Hungry Ghost
Acclaimed author and National Portrait Collection inductee, Shyam Selvadurai, has recently published a new novel, The Hungry Ghosts. Selvadurai’s NPC portrait can currently be seen inside the Ontario Legislative Building at Queen’s Park, as part of a The ArQuives exhibit running until the end of May, 2013.
The ArQuives volunteer Adam Dunn has reviewed The Hungry Ghosts on his blog: “A real whirlwind of a novel, the latest from Canadian author Shyam Selvadurai packs in a lot of emotion, while moving finely over the course of the life of an immigrant, caught between the land he grew up in and the world in which he lives.” Click here to continue reading Adam’s review!
A video interview with Shyam Selvadurai is posted on Xtra.ca and an article appears in the May issue of In Toronto magazine.
